According to foreign media reports, in order to reassure shippers and maintain strong cross Pacific business, THE Alliance will resume two cross Pacific services after a suspension of nearly six months.
On April 15th, THE Alliance will resume the US East Coast (EC4/SUEZ1) route that was cancelled in November due to the winter off-season, and will return in a new rotation: Kaohsiung, Xiamen, Yantian, Gaime, Singapore, Norfolk, Savannah, Charleston, New York, Singapore, and Kaohsiung.
The previous stops in Hong Kong will be omitted, and the route will be diverted from the Suez Canal to the eastbound and westbound Cape of Good Hope.

The EC4 service cycle has a 13 week delivery time and will deploy up to 13 container ships with a capacity of 13000-14000 TEU, from Herbert, ONE, and Yangming. The first voyage is expected to start from Kaohsiung with the 14080 TEU YM Warm.
Meanwhile, on April 19th, THE Alliance will resume service on the West Coast of the United States (PN3), which will be cancelled in October before winter. It will be affiliated with Hong Kong, Haiphong, Yantian, Shanghai, Busan, Vancouver, Tacoma, Busan, and Kaohsiung, with the addition of new affiliations for Hong Kong and Haiphong.
It is expected that the HMM Aquamarine with a maiden voyage of 13788TEU will depart from Hong Kong. This service has a cycle time of 8 weeks and will deploy 8 ships from HMM and Yangming.
