Home    The first batch of "Silk Road Maritime Transport" intelligent containers in China have been launched and set sail

On March 22nd, the first batch of intelligent containers developed by "Silk Road Shipping" were put into use nationwide, and the opening ceremony was completed at Xiamen Haitian Port. In the future, by combining the "Silk Road Shipping" intelligent container with the "Silk Road Shipping" international shipping comprehensive service platform, shippers and logistics service enterprises can grasp the location and status of containers in real time, and timely understand the land sea intermodal transportation trajectory and business dynamics of containers.

Compared with traditional containers, this batch of intelligent containers adopts Internet of Things technology and achieves full visualization of container logistics through mobile communication and BeiDou and GPS dual channel satellite positioning. The integration of intelligent containers with port and shipping business data is a pioneering initiative in the industry, especially in providing more efficient information services for emerging trade models such as supply chain logistics and cross-border e-commerce, and will further expand customs application scenarios.
"The data in recent years shows that supply chain logistics, cross-border e-commerce and other characteristic routes have become the main growth points of import and export, and these industries are particularly concerned about the real-time dynamics of containers." Li Nan, general manager of Fujian Silk Road Shipping Operations Co., Ltd., said, "Therefore, our launch of intelligent container services this time has an important role in improving the impact of the 'Silk Road Shipping' brand and promoting the digital development of the logistics industry. This is also the latest practice of promoting the integrated development of the 'Silk Road Shipping' port and shipping trade, which will promote high-quality economic and trade exchanges between China and countries and regions that jointly build the 'the Belt and Road'."
As the first international shipping integrated logistics service brand facing the "the Belt and Road" in China, the "Silk Road Shipping" route, which was first launched by Fujian Province, the core area of the "Maritime Silk Road", is favored by foreign trade enterprises. According to statistics, by the end of last month, "Silk Road Maritime Transport" had opened 116 routes, reaching 106 ports in 37 countries and regions jointly building the "the Belt and Road", of which 114 container liner routes had opened a total of 14073 times, completing a container throughput of 16.6017 million TEUs.
